Under the Domestic Violence Victim Assistance Act, victims of domestic violence receive access to the legal services they need to achieve safety and independence from abuse. Authorized by the North Carolina General Assembly and administered by NC IOLTA on behalf of the State Bar, funding provides resources to Legal Aid of North Carolina and Pisgah Legal Services to combat domestic violence in North Carolina.

As required by statute, IOLTA compiles a report to be sent to the General Assembly by Jan. 15 of each year that documents the funding administered and services provided.
